The hardware server is simply a piece of equipment. Any machine could be the one. On these workstation, only server-side software is used. These database system software is running on the database hardware server. The internet server software is running on the web server. These devices are frequently designed specifically for the task at hand, yet occasionally they are nothing more than a dated desktop computer.
